P Party - Day 100

My little baby boy is turning 10 next Wednesday. I cannot believe how quickly he has grown. I am so proud of him and determination in everything he does.

He has matured so much and adapted his learning to help him self. He is really applying himself at school and has a really promising future ahead of him.

J is the most kind, caring and sensitive little boy who not only love all thing equine but every creature on God's green earth. If he could he would rescue hurt and abandoned animals and show them love and nurture.

As J grows and hits double digits he is becoming more responsible by the day. In this birth year I would like to teach him how to cook and become more independent within his self care regime. All the while allowing him the freedom to play and imagine and generally be a child.

I don't want him to grow up too quickly but I want to help equip him with the tools and life-skills he will undoubtedly need in years to come.

I am almost excited as he is to open all his presents on Wednesday at a family meal after school and were both extremely grateful (and tired) for his friends attending his P-Party this weekend.

The P-Party consisted of:

Painting
Pizza making
Popcorn
Picture (aka film)
PJ's - sleepover

So J invited some friends from school and some friends from outside of school to partake in this celebration which was well received.

Thirteen children came and created some amazing art work and we all made J a picture for him to treasure for years to come.

Having told the children at 4am to go to sleep and being woken up at 7.30am I took J and one remaining friend to the yard where they spent time grooming Boston in the wind and rain spots. We then went for a relaxing walk during which Boston behaved perfectly. He only reared in a bid to jump over some muddy puddles which we all found quite funny.

It was a tiring but exciting celebration for J and he was extremely thankful to all who attended.

J is now counting down the days/hours until his 'actual' birthday.

He is an extremely lucky boy to have Boston Blue at only ten years old. Even with his quirks and all.

I am extremely lucky to have them both.

What makes you feel lucky?
